Online Requests for Business

The Online Requests for Business service allows business taxpayers to electronically ask for certain financial actions to be processed on an account. Use this service to make online requests for:

• GST/HST
• corporate
• other levies accounts - excise duty, excise tax, excise tax on insurance premiums, air travellers security charge, softwood lumber products export charge.

This service lets business taxpayers inform the Canada Revenue Agency via the Internet of an action or review they want them to do, request items they require or inform them of communication items they no longer wish to receive. Business taxpayers may electronically ask for certain financial transactions to be processed on an account, such as:

• interest review
• payment search
• credit transfer.

Summary

Since financial requests require personal account review, they must be processed manually. Each request will be promptly forwarded to the appropriate CRA office for action.

This service also accepts requests for the following communication based items:

• additional remittance vouchers
• customized statements
• copies of previously issued notices and statements
• account mailing instructions (stop/restart account statements and remittance envelopes)

Where possible, the system will action these requests within 24 hours of receipt. If the system is unable to automatically respond, requests will be forwarded to the appropriate tax centre for processing.

If any of the Online Requests result in the generation of correspondence, it will be issued through regular mail.

You can make online requests in My Business Account, the one-stop shop for business taxpayers and their authorized representatives.

Do not use this feature to:

• make general business enquiries
• make change of address requests
• make non-account related enquiries.
