Dairy Production - Technical and Specialized Support Services

Primary objective is to provide industry partners and extension staff with information and expertise that can be applied and/or delivered on all aspects of dairy production, business management or value added product development.

Eligibility Criteria

All dairy producers, service industry and others involved in agri-business are eligible to take advantage of this service.

Summary

NON-FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

This program provides for the evaluation and development of production, on farm business opportunities and daily management assistance to individual producers and groups including:

  • The preparation and distribution of factsheets.
  • Through an updated department dairy web site.
  • Cost of production guides and spreadsheets.
  • The development and delivery of farm clinics, short courses and seminars.
  • Demonstration projects.
  • Regular news releases and short articles for media.
  • Through specialized on-farm troubleshooting services.
  • Planning help with either farm expansions or new entrants to the industry.
