Manitoba Farm Mediation Board (MFMB)

The Manitoba Farm Mediation Board provides financial counselling and mediation assistance to farmers facing foreclosure or in financial difficulty.  In both cases a  financial advisor visits the farm to review the farmer's financial situation and prepares a report for the farmer and the mediation panel.

The panel reviews the options with the farmer and a mediator mediates a resolution that is acceptable to the farmer and the farmer's creditor(s).  

Eligibility Criteria

For Mediation and Financial Counselling:

Any producer who is having difficulty meeting his financial obligations or is facing foreclosure.

Assistance is available for: 

• Financial counselling
• Mediation between Farmer and Creditor
