Canada Border Services Agency has programs in place that streamline customs and immigration clearance for low-risk, pre-screened travellers.

Summary

If you often fly into Canada by commercial airline, the CANPASS Air program may be for you. It allows program participants to pass quickly through Canadian customs and immigration at major Canadian airports.

If your company operates an aircraft that frequently flies directly into Canada from the United States, the CANPASS Corporate Aircraft program allows you access to more airports and provides expedited clearance.

If you operate a private aircraft that often flies directly into Canada from the United States, the CANPASS Private Aircraft program also allows you to access more airports and provides expedited clearance.

If you use your personal watercraft in international waters and frequently cross into the United States, the CANPASS Private Boats program will provide you access to an increased number of docks upon your return to Canada along with expedited customs and immigration clearance.

If you cross the border at remote areas in Ontario from Pigeon River through to and including Lake of the Woods and the Canadian shore of Lake Superior, the CANPASS Remote Area Border Crossing program could be for you.
