Summary

Individuals wishing to use the Internet in the Canada /Manitoba Business Service Centre must abide by the  following rules or they will be denied access.

1) Internet use is offered free for business research only.  Individuals using the Internet for any other purpose will be asked to stop.

2) The use of e-mail is not allowed on these workstations.  This includes outside providers like Hotmail and Yahoo!

3) Viewing pornographic or violent sites is prohibited.  What is considered pornographic or violent is at the discretion of C/MBSC staff.  Individuals in violation of this will be evicted from the centre.  Sites visited by specific computers are being recorded and individuals in violation of this policy will be permanently banned from using C/MBSC computers.

4) The browser provided must be used “as is.” Downloading plug-ins is prohibited.

5) You may not use the computers at our centre to build or maintain a web site even if it is for business purposes.

6) External storage devices are not permitted.

7) Web pages may be printed off but there is a 10 cents a page cost for this.
