Canadian Environmental Technology Advancement Centres

The goal of the three Canadian Environmental Technology Advancement Centres (CETAC) is to support the development, demonstration and deployment of innovative environmental technologies. This is done by assisting small and medium enterprises through a provision of support services such as:

  • general business development counselling;
  • market analysis;
  • assistance in raising capital; and
  • technical assistance.

Eligibility Criteria

Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) engaged in the development and commercialization of new environmental technologies.

Summary

In partnership with provincial governments, environmental industry associations, and the private sector, the federal government has supported the establishment and operation of the CETACs, which are private sector, non-profit* corporations, operating at arms length from governments.

*Note: "non-profit" also known as nonprofit organizations, non profit organizations, not-for-profit organizations, voluntary organizations and volunteer organizations.
