Regulation: Fuels Information Regulation No.1, (SOR/C.R.C., c. 407)
Persons who produce or import into Canada liquid petroleum fuels such as, aviation turbo, motor or aviation gasoline, kerosene/stove oil, diesel oil, light and heavy fuel oil, in excess of 400 m3 per year. This could include Canadian refiners and independent marketers of petroleum products and large users of petroleum products such as electric power utilities, paper mills, and air and rail users.
The Fuels Information Regulations, No. 1, require every person who produces or imports more than 400 cubic metres (i.e., 400 000 L or 87 988 Imp. gallons) of aviation turbo fuel, gasoline, kerosene, diesel fuel, fuel oils, or any other liquid fuel per year to submit the reporting form to Environment Canada. Also, The Fuels Information Regulations, No. 1, require every person who produces in Canada or imports into Canada a fuel that contains any additive other than lead or lead compounds shall submit a report to the Minister of Environment Canada.
The Fuels Information Regulations, No. 1 apply to persons producing or importing into Canada more than 400 cubic metres of fuel that originate from crude oils, coal or bituminous sands.
Information on the sulphur content of these fuels and information concerning any additives in the fuel (other than lead or lead compounds) must be reported to the Minister of Environment Canada.
