Regulation: Sulphur in Gasoline Regulations, SOR/99-236 (amended SOR/2000-104 and SOR/2003-319)
The persons most affected by the Regulations are those who produce (including by blending) or import gasoline. The term "primary supplier" has been adopted to cover:
Refining, blending, importing or sale of gasoline.
The Sulphur in Gasoline Regulations set limits on the amount of sulphur in gasoline produced, imported or sold. The Regulations limit sulphur in gasoline to an average level of 30 mg/kg with a never-to-be-exceeded maximum of 80 mg/kg.
