The federal government's spectrum allocation and utilization policies are available to interested members of the public.

Summary

The Spectrum and Radio Policy Directorate is responsible for developing policies for the allocation and use of the radio-frequency spectrum in Canada.

These policies provide the framework for the allocation of radio frequency spectrum, its utilization and the development of radio systems to enable radio systems licensing. They are published as Spectrum Utilization Policies and Radio Systems Policies. These documents are organized in order of the frequency bands to which they apply.

Copies of these policies are available electronically on the Spectrum Management and Telecommunications Web site.
