Biodiagnostics is the use of sophisticated instruments and techniques to help medical professionals make earlier and more accurate diagnoses. Other related disciplines involved in biodiagnostics include: biochemistry, computer science, engineering, medicine, physics and physiology.
The Institute develops and commercializes innovative medical devices for the non-invasive diagnosis of diseases, with research focused on optical and magnetic resonance imaging and spectroscopy, device prototyping, bioinformatics, and medical software. Core competencies include pre-clinical research, animal models of diseases and infectious disease research.
