The Steacie Institute for Molecular Sciences investigates topics that have the potential to generate and transform technologies of the future. In partnership with national and international organizations, NRC-SIMS develops innovative materials, processes and technologies in the areas of advanced optics, nanomaterials and molecular diagnostics.
The Institute contributes, through in-depth research, to the solution of key problems in the areas of human health, alternative energies, environmental remediation, as well as communication and information quantum technologies.
