ecoENERGY for Renewable Power

ecoENERGY for Renewable Power is a measure established under the ecoENERGY Initiatives to help Canadians use energy more efficiently, boost renewable energy supplies and develop cleaner energy technologies.

Eligibility Criteria

Businesses, municipalities, institutions and organizations are eligible.

Summary

Making clean, renewable electricity more available and less expensive for Canadians is the goal of the ecoENERGY for Renewable Power program. It will help harness the power of our environment to help protect the environment. The program will also increase Canada's supply of clean electricity from low-impact renewable sources, such as wind, biomass, hydro, geothermal, solar photovoltaic and ocean energy.

Are there financial incentives?
ecoENERGY for Renewable Power will provide an incentive of one cent per kilowatt-hour for up to 10 years to eligible low-impact, renewable electricity projects constructed over the next four years,  April 1st, 2007 to March 31st, 2011.

Application Procedure
To apply, please complete the application form online or download it to complete by hand. Sign the printed form and send three copies to Natural Resources Canada at the address provided below.
