CTT Group is a dynamic multi-service organization dedicated to assuring the prosperity of Canadian textile, geosynthetic and para-textile companies by adding value to their business processes.

Offering a complete range of technical, commercial and information services, CTT Group partners with industry in their push towards the development of new and innovative products. The organization also assists its customers in identifying target markets for their products, wherever these markets may be on the planet.

Summary

CTT Group CTT Group’s mission is to promote the development of textile and geosynthetics technologies, to improve product quality, and to increase productivity in the textile industry. Founded in 1987, the CTT Group’s workforce has grown to 45, which includes 35 technical employees (researchers, engineers, technicians). The CTT Group has a customer base of more than 300 companies in the textile, geosynthetics and polymer sectors.

Assistance Provided
CTT Group’s researchers and engineers participate in the development of new textile-based products, particularly technical textiles (high performance textiles, functional textiles, "intelligent" textiles, geotextiles, nonwovens, geosynthetics, protective clothing, etc.). They also participate in research projects in collaboration with Canadian and international universities and research centres.

CTT Group’s technical advisors help manufacturers and users find solutions to technical problems related to quality control and new processes. CTT Group offers training on new equipment, processes and materials, as well as guidance in the area of quality control.

CTT Group’s state-of-the-art laboratory allows it to carry out extensive product development and product evaluations, particularly physical, mechanical and chemical testing of fibres, yarns, wovens, geotextiles, nonwovens, geosynthetics, carpets and polymers.

CTT Group’s commercial support services help companies increase their competitive capabilities and seek out new business opportunities. Via market research, individual consulting, product/market planning or commercial development campaigns, CTT Group supports the growth of dynamic textile companies in the context of the New Textile Economy.

The Textile Journal and the Hightex event series are key information sources administered by CTT Group that cover a wide range of textile technologies and activities. CTT organizes and takes part in many symposia and trade shows across North America and Europe.
