Economic Input-Output Tables

Statistics Canada maintains records related to the development and maintenance of national and provincial input-output tables and associated products and models.

Summary

Topics included in these records are: 

• annual data and records for current and constant price Canadian input-output tables from 1961 to 1997;
• data for 1996 and 1997 interprovincial tables and 1992-1999 trade flows for each province and territory;
• documentation for national input-output models and interprovincial input-output models (with associated multipliers);
• correspondence with clients of customer service activity.

The Input-Output Structure of the Canadian Economy

This annual publication (available from 1961 to 1997) presents the most detailed accounting within the System of National Accounts of gross production in the Canadian economy. The data are given in current prices as sets of interrelated industry and commodity production and disposition accounts and as sets of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by industry.
